Okay now, latest news is that the album may be released in june, and a
releasetour probably in october-2006. Date of releaseconcert still to be announced..

[17.03.2006]
Ola Kvernberg Trio signed up with Jazzland Recordings fall-2005,
planning to record a new album starting in november 2005. Today,
after all in all 3 sessions, the album is being mixed.

The album consists of Olas compositions, except one composition
by bass player Steinar Raknes and one small piece by Purcell.

Describing the music is not easy, its a result of many of Olas musical
influences, his heritage - the norwegian folk music, bluegrass-fiddling,
classical violin esthetics and last but not least: jazz music.

The album is produced by Bugge Wesseltoft (who is also the
manager of Jazzland Rec.) and is expected to be released in june 2006.

Exact date of release will be announced later.
